April 16-30 Progressive Scrap at DDR was so much fun.

Decided to wait and show all the steps together for this challenge.  We were free to use whatever kit we wished but at least 50% of DDR products.  Once something was added to the layout, it could not be moved.  Shadowing could be added at anytime during the challenge.

I chose to use Heart of Zen kit by Feli.  I was enthralled with the lovely oriental feel to the kit.  Everything is from the Heart of Zen unless otherwise noted.



 STEP 1 - You will have 3 days to complete this step, due midnight Tuesday, April 17th

3 papers, (two of the papers must be in shapes)

I used Layed template by KakleiDesigns to cut the side papers.

For instance if you use a pink flower you may repeat that flower, not a different one.

I was very happy with my layout for the challenge but decided that I wanted to add a couple more items to it for my own personal layout.  I added white flowers in the lower left and a statue in the lower right.

Yes, that is a new blog header you see!  Many, many thanks to Kyra at With A Russian Dutch Heart for allowing me to use some of the elements from one of her fabulous kits - 'Weaving Dreams' for it.  Click on her blog name above to reach her blog and see what fantastic kits she there. 

Krya was one of the first designers that I started collecting kits from when I began digi-scraping.  So many wonderful kits and they are free for your personal use.   She is one fantastic lady - so sharing and kind with lots of encouraging words for others. 

Finally realized that instead of trying to center the image... I should make it larger.  LOL.... That got it spaced right.

The Circus has arrived.

Ah, the wonderful kit by Star Song Studio - The Circus - has been released.

New Spring Breeze Kit from Booland is released.

Had a great Easter Weekend

So much fun sharing Easter with the family.  Granddaughter Katie hosted a lunch for the family and 2 other couples with children the same ages as her daughters - 2 years and 7 months old.  What joy to watch the 2 year old girls hunt for the Easter Eggs.  So, of course, I had to scarp a couple of them immediately.

Star Song Studio has a new kit coming out this week:  THE CIRCUS.  It is a fabulous kit with a vintage feel.  Lots of fun papers and elements that will call out to the kid in all of us. Will be posting pages for it mid-week.

Lots of new layouts done.

Been busy working on layouts for the Challenges as the different forums.  It is always a busy and exciting time at the first of the month finding out what is on the agenda.  Love the challenges that push me into creating new and fun layouts.  Have a couple of them that I am especially happy with so will share them with you.

This layout has a special place in my heart.  The challenge was to scrap someone or something that made you proud.  I chose my great-granddaughter and her loving care of her younger sister.
